Giancarlo Gonzalez misses Costa Rica call-up due to minor knee ailment

We haven’t heard a ton about injury news during the LA Galaxy preseason. In part, it’s because unless a player suffers a catastrophic injury, it’s not especially relevant since we’re still a month away from competitive games, and in part it’s because teams are inclined to not share anything more than they need to in preseason.

That’s especially true with the coronavirus pandemic limiting access to training sessions more than ever, but with international call-ups happening these days for the upcoming FIFA international window, we got some injury news this week.

It appears Giancarlo Gonzalez not only played in the super-secret scrimmage against the Columbus Crew last weekend, but he suffered a minor knee injury in the game, and is estimated to be out approximately two more weeks, according to Costa Rica head coach Ronald Gonzalez, as quoted in El Tiempo.
