This has been known for some time, but on Tuesday it become official: Goalkeeper Dan Kennedy has retired from the LA Galaxy and Major League Soccer.
A talented keeper during his 10 years in the league, its a shame the Galaxy were never able to pick up Kennedy at his peak, waiting until the twilight of his career to acquire the Fullerton native.
Kennedy was originally slated to start in goal for 2016, but after a few anemic performances including a crushing CONCACAF Champions League defeat, the keeper suffered an injury and was eventually replaced by a solid-as-oak Brian Rowe.
