CARSON, Calif. -- StubHub Center gave Carlos Ruiz a warm welcome in his return to the LA Galaxy family as part of the club's Legends Night on Friday.
Ruiz was honored alongside fellow club legends Landon Donovan, Cobi Jones, and Clint Mathis at halftime of the team's 2-0 victory over the Montreal Impact on Friday. All four legends earned wild cheers from the StubHub Center faithful, but the loudest were reserved for Ruiz who announced his retirement from professional soccer on Friday.
The famed Guatemalan striker who's goal gave the Galaxy their first championship was emotional when asked about his triumphant return to StubHub Center.
