Canada's Victor Montagliani elected new CONCACAF president | INSIDER

CONCACAF continued their efforts to reform the North American soccer governing body on Thursday by electing new president and members of CONCACAF and FIFA councils.

At the XXXI Ordinary Congress in Mexico City, the delegates of CONCACAF’s 41 member nations elected Canadian Soccer Association president Victor Montagliani as the federation’s new president. The Canadian is CONCACAF’s third president in a year. Rodolfo Villalobos of Costa Rica was chosen as the council’s vice president.

In addition to the election of new leadership, CONCACAF’s 35 FIFA nations elected selected Cuba’s Luis Hernandez, Pedro Chaluja of Panama, and Turks and Caicos’ delegate Sonia Bien-Aime to represent the confederation on the FIFA council.
