NWSL expansion team Angel City FC announced Friday that singer and actress Becky G has joined the star-studded ownership group.
The news dropped courtesy of the artist herself during an appearance on the club’s Instagram Live show Friday with Eva Longoria, who is herself a team co-owner.
The 23-year-old is a Southern California native, a superstar in her field and is already getting the word out about Angel City, which is scheduled to launch in the NWSL in 2022.
Of course, she already has ties to the sport of soccer locally, as many know she’s in a relationship with LA Galaxy midfielder Sebastian Lletget.
