Ariel Lassiter signed his first MLS contract with the LA Galaxy on Saturday, the club announced on its official website, joining Dave Romney, Daniel Steres, and Clement Dip as players who have signed MLS contracts from LA Galaxy II.
The 21-year-old forward, who joined Galaxy II ahead of the 2015 season and scored 15 goals last season, is now fast-tracked to the senior squad after making his first MLS appearance last season.
Lassiter was born in Costa Rica but has lived in Southern California for most of his life. He first sprung to wider consciousness during his high school days at Great Oak High School in Temecula, California.
