LOS ANGELES – Former LA Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo announced his retirement from professional soccer in a press conference in his native Panama on Thursday.
Penedo spent two years with the Galaxy, before departing in July 2015. The goalkeeper for the Galaxy during their run to the 2014 MLS Cup title, the Panamanian made 54 appearances overall for the galaxy during his tenure with the club.
Since departing the club, Penedo has spent time with Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica and Dinamo Bucharest in Romania, while also appearing at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Panama.
The LA Galaxy wish Penedo all the best in his future endeavors.
