Starting pitcher Walker Buehler sealed the Yankees’ fate after striking out former Dodgers outfielder Alex Verdugo to win the 2024 World Series.
This offseason, Buehler has officially entered the free agent market. The two-time National League All-Star is rumored to have mutual interest in signing with the Yankees, according to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi.

“I’ve been told there is at least some mutual interest between Walker Buehler and the New York Yankees,” Morosi said.
Buehler threw the last pitch to secure the Dodgers’ eighth World Series title in franchise history.
