The Dodgers infield depth has been tested early in 2023. When they traded for Miguel Rojas in January, they thought they had acquired more than enough depth to last the entire season — then, the injury bug hit.
First, it was starting shortstop Gavin Lux suffering a torn ACL in spring training, ending his season before it began. Then, it was Miguel Rojas and Miguel Vargas dealing with minor injuries early in the 2023 season. And now, it’s Chris Taylor, who hurt his left side at the end of Monday’s game and will be out for at least a few days.
