Will Dave Roberts Be Dodgers Manager As Long As He Wants? LA President Answers

Managers typically come and go pretty often in MLB. But Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is heading into his 10th season with the organization in 2025, and the Dodgers plan to keep him around for awhile.

The Dodgers agreed to a lucrative four-year contract extension with Roberts on Tuesday, making him the highest-paid MLB manager in history.

Although Roberts’ career with the Dodgers will continue through 2029, the question is if the franchise will ever look to part ways with the skipper.

“Who knows about that? Given the state of sports, the state of managers,” said Dodgers president Stan Kasten on Dodgers Dougout Live with Doug McKain.
