LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers say goodbye to their stadium, for either eight days or five-and-a-half months.
They go to Chicago either to puncture local dreams or to become Sham to their Secretariat, Bob May to their Tiger Woods.
They will either win their way to the World Series behind their two best starting pitchers, or they will be the actors left sitting when somebody opens the envelope.
The Cubs have not been to the World Series since 1945 and need one more win to do so. They ground down the Dodgers in Game 5 of the NL Championship Series Thursday, 8-4, and lead 3-2.
