A quartet of Dodgers were named to Baseball America’s midseason top 100 prospects list, with pitcher Walker Buehler as the biggest riser.
Buehler checks in at No. 17 overall on BA’s list, and is the fourth-highest pitching prospect. Buehler was also the top Dodger on the Baseball Prospectus midseason top 50, ranked No. 19.
The Dodgers’ first-round pick out of Vanderbilt in 2015, Buehler has rebounded greatly from Tommy John surgery that wiped out nearly all of his 2016 season. The right-hander has a 2.48 ERA between Double-A Tulsa and Class-A Rancho Cucamonga this season, with 83 strikeouts and 17 walks in 61u2154 innings.
