LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully underwent what the team is calling "a recommended medical procedure" on Thursday morning, and on the advice of his doctors will not call any Dodgers games this postseason.
He is said to be resting comfortably at home, per the team.
Scully, 87, missed the final weekend of the regular season with a cold. In recent postseasons, Scully has called the first three innings on radio as well as innings seven through nine, and has traveled with the team to call playoff games after a mostly-home schedule.
This regular season, Scully's only road games called were two of the club's three series in San Francisco against the Giants.
