Maybe it just took being insulted for Zach Walters to unlock the potential three previous organizations have seen in him.
Walters was promoted from Triple-A by the Dodgers on Saturday, taking the place of outfielder Trayce Thompson who went on the DL with lower back irritation.
Walters has been to the majors before with the Washington Nationals and Cleveland Indians (after originally being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks). He hit .182 in a combined 82 games during those brief big-league visits while spending parts of the past five seasons in Triple-A.
But he has never had a run of success quite like he has had for the OKC Dodgers over the past six weeks.
