Alex Verdugo had a game to remember Wednesday, hitting for the cycle as part of a 4-for-4 performance -- his second career four-hit game -- in Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga's 10-2 win over Lancaster.
The Dodgers No. 7 prospect got the home run out of the way in his first at-bat, taking Lancaster starter Keean Yuhl deep to center field in the second inning. The home run was Verdugo's seventh of the season and second since joining Rancho Cucamonga.
The 19-year-old center fielder collected a single in the third inning, walked in the fifth and then led off the seventh with a double, leaving him with one final at-bat to accomplish the feat.
