Utley reportedly has suspension overturned on appeal

PHOENIX -- Dodgers infielder Chase Utley would not confirm multiple reports that his two-game suspension for a slide in last year's National League Division Series -- which broke Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada's right leg -- has been overturned on appeal.

"I don't want to comment until something is official," Utley said on Sunday, after an initial report by the Los Angeles Times that the suspension will be overturned.

Players Association chief Tony Clark said in Port St. Lucie on Sunday that Utley's situation had been resolved, but would give no details. Neither MLB nor the Dodgers confirmed the report.
