Just days after third base coach Chris Woodward accepted the Rangers’ managerial vacancy, hitting coach Turner Ward decided to join the Cincinnati Reds in the same role he had with the Dodgers.
Ward was hired by the Dodgers in December of 2015. His MLB playing career spanned 11 years with six different teams. He was primarily a utility-type outfielder and designated hitter.
