A former Los Angeles Dodgers infield prospect is getting his big-league moment with the Detroit Tigers.
Trey Sweeney is reportedly getting the call that never came while he was with the Dodgers, according to Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.
The Tigers are calling up SS Trey Sweeney to the big leagues, per source. The former first rounder has been on a tear of late and was one of two prospects coming from the Dodgers in return for Jack Flaherty.
Sweeney was sent to Detroit as part of the trade package that brought starting pitcher Jack Flaherty home to Los Angeles.
