It’s so crazy it might work… or maybe it’s just plain crazy!
Let me set the stage:
Baseball is floundering in Miami. They are averaging about 20,000 a game in a beautiful new stadium. The team isn’t winning because they don’t have enough bats. What they need is more hitting and a way to attract fans. Coincidently, there are almost 1.5 million Cubans in Miami.
The Marlins have Jose Fernandez (Cuban) coming back from Tommy John this week, as well as a couple of other pitchers. That will help, but they need more bats… and Stanton is out until August.
