While the LA Dodgers fight to get to the postseason, two of the Dodgers’ minor league teams have won their respective championships. On Friday, the Tulsa Drillers won the Texas League championship, and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes won the California League championship.
This caps off an impressive season as an organization as the Oklahoma City Dodgers also made a postseason run before they ultimately came up short. The Tulsa Drillers swept the San Antonio Missions three games to zero. Last night it was Dustin May who pitched a solid game tossing five innings of two run ball.
On the offensive side of the things, the Drillers were propelled by top prospects DJ Peters and Gavin Lux.
