Lots has been written about the Yankees' absolute implosion in last night's World Series Game 5, in which the Dodgers came back from a 5-0 deficit and a 6.1% chance of winning, clawing back in a fateful top of the fifth inning.
But I haven't seen anyone yet link the Yankees' meltdown to the deplorable behavior of Yankees fans, and the Yankee organization, the prior evening in World Series Game 4.
These two events are definitely linked. The baseball gods took note, and then, they took action.
