Teoscar Hernández and the Los Angeles Dodgers appear to have reached agreement on a new deal. Hernández posted on his Instagram story with the simple caption: “I’m back.”
Hernández signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers last offseason after his free agency didn’t pan out the way he had hoped. Hernández wanted to re-establish his value this year in Los Angeles, and that’s exactly what he did.
Hernández had a career year across the board, slashing .272/.339/.501 with 33 home runs and 99 runs batted in. He made his second career All-Star team, won the Home Run Derby, and played a pivotal role in the Dodgers’ run to the World Series.
