Source: Dodgers sending Ruiz to Mariners

The Dodgers are trading veteran catcher Carlos Ruiz to the Mariners, according to a report from MLB Network insider Jon Heyman. MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi confirmed from a source that Ruiz waived his no-trade clause, and MLB Network insider Joel Sherman reported the Dodgers are receiving a pitcher off Seattle's 40-man roster in return. Neither club has confirmed the report.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Seattle will send left-handed reliever Vidal Nuno to the Dodgers, though the deal is not yet complete. Nuno, 29, posted a 3.53 ERA in 55 relief appearances last season.
