Source: Dodgers agree with top pick Kendall

The Dodgers have agreed to a deal with first-round pick Jeren Kendall, according to MLB.com's Jim Callis. The club has not confirmed the report.

Kendall, 21, was the No. 23 overall selection in the 2017 MLB Draft. The junior outfielder hit .307 with 15 home runs and 53 RBIs while stealing 20 bases for Vanderbilt University this season.

A native of Holmen, Wis., Kendall was named first-team All-SEC and to the SEC All-Defensive team by the league's coaches. He is the son of former Philadelphia Phillies Minor Leaguer Jeremy Kendall.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Kendall possess impressive defensive and baserunning skills, and he was extremely productive at the plate for the Commodores as well.
