Shohei Ohtani Sets Dodgers Franchise Record With Another Home Run

With a loud crack of the bat in the first inning on Wednesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field, Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani led the game off against the Chicago White Sox with a home run for the record books.

Ohtani launched a solo home run to right center field. It cemented him into the franchise record books with his 10th consecutive game with a run batted in.

Ohtani tied the previous record of nine that was held by Roy Campanella (1955), Augie Galan (1944), Eddie Brown (1924), and Bob Fisher (1913). Matt Kemp also drove in runs in nine consecutive games, but that streak was split across the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
