PHOENIX -- Corey Seager resumed workouts on the field with his Dodgers teammates on Thursday, as manager Dave Roberts again insisted the 2016 National League Rookie of the Year Award winner will be ready by Opening Day.
Seager has been out two weeks with a strained oblique. But on Thursday he said he was able to jog, field grounders on his knees, throw and take 25 to 30 swings in the cage at half speed.
"I feel fine," said Seager. "It was fun sweating. I missed it."
Seager was injured making an awkward relay throw to first base on a double play.
