SAN FRANCISCO -- Hyun-Jin Ryu struck out seven in 5 2/3 innings and doubled in two runs Friday night as the Dodgers opened their longest trip against the Giants.
Ryu left after taking a Buster Posey comebacker off the leg, although he appeared fine and the move appeared to be a manager's decision, as Josh Fields was already warmed up in the bullpen to replace him. Ryu made 89 pitches.
With a 4-2 lead when he left, Ryu was in position to improve his staff-leading record to 4-0.
