Rockies Approved For 21,000 Fans On Opening Day Against Dodgers

With Spring Training games being played in front of fans at a reduced capacity, the focus has begun to shift to Opening Day of the 2021 regular season. For the Los Angeles Dodgers, that entails beginning with four games against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.

The Rockies had previously been approved to welcome 12,500 fans for Opening Day, but an update from the state now will permit 42.6% of capacity by the start of the season. The change will allow the Rockies to host 21,363 fans on Opening Day and beyond.

“We couldn’t be happier to be inviting Rockies fans back into Coors Field,” Rockies COO Greg Feasel said in a statement.
