ARLINGTON -- Dave Roberts said he still had confidence in Dodgers struggling closer Kenley Jansen, but he was hesitant committing to Jansen as a ninth-inning option Wednesday night with the Arizona series opening Thursday night at home.
"I'm going to see how he feels," the manager said. "That's not more of using him or trusting him in that spot. It's more of how he feels tonight versus getting ready for tomorrow, and if that situation comes up. I'll talk to him."
After allowing ninth-inning homers in three consecutive games, Jansen came off his heart medication and on Tuesday pitched the ninth inning with a six-run lead and allowed a pair of runs.
