LOS ANGELES -- Rob Segedin finally got the call to the big leagues. The Dodgers called up the corner man from Triple-A Oklahoma City, and the 27-year-old right-hander will make his major league debut starting in left field on Sunday against David Price and the Red Sox.
The Dodgers optioned infielder Chris Taylor to Oklahoma City and, to make room on the 40-man roster transferred Trayce Thompson to the 60-day disabled list.
Segedin hit .319/.392/.598 in 103 games for Oklahoma City this season, making the Pacific Coast League All-Star team while leading OKC in hits (119), home runs (21), doubles (23), triples (nine), runs scored (71), RBI (69) and walks (40).
