The Los Angeles Dodgers squandered an early lead but came away with a 5-4 walk-off victory against the Cincinnati Reds behind Corey Seager’s walk-off double. With the win, the Dodgers kept pace with the National League West-leading Colorado Rockies.
The Dodgers struck first on a Seager double that Scooter Gennett misplayed and allowed to carry over his head. Chase Utley, who led off with a single, scored from first base on the play. Adrian Gonzalez’s sacrifice fly plated Seager.
Cody Bellinger extended his team lead with a 13th home run this season before Asher Wojciechowski could work his way out of the inning.
