Recap: Dodgers Defeat Rockies To Extend Winning Streak To 5 Games

The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to a season-high tying five games with a 4-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Justin Turner and Zach McKinstry provided key home runs in the win.

The Dodgers jumped out to an early lead thanks in some part to Phil Cuzzi’s small strike zone. With Mookie Betts and Corey Seager on base, Turner’s RBI single put the Dodgers ahead 1-0 in the first inning. Gavin Lux then benefitted from a missed call in a long at-bat that ended on a sacrifice fly.

Turner’s leadoff home run in the third inning extended the Dodgers’ lead to 3-0.
