The Los Angeles Dodgers withstood another onslaught from Fernando Tatis Jr. to notch a 5-4 comeback win over the San Diego Padres that snapped a two-game losing streak.
Tatis wasted little time building on his two-home run game against Clayton Kershaw by leading off the first inning Saturday night with a solo shot. It kept Tatis in line with his father, who also went deep the game after hitting two grand slams in one inning at Dodger Stadium.
Tatis celebrated his home run by covering one eye as he rounded first base, a reference to Bauer’s tendency to close one at times when pitching.
