The 2020 World Series got off to a good start for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they took a 1-0 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays with an 8-3 win on Tuesday night.
They now look to take a more commanding 2-0 lead and send rookie Tony Gonsolin to the mound to do so in Game 2. Gonsolin was great for the Dodgers in the regular season, going 2-2 with a 2.31 ERA, 2.29 FIP and 0.84 WHIP with 46 strikeouts and seven walks in 46.2 innings across nine games (eight starts).
The postseason has been a different story for him though as he appeared in two games (one start) against the Atlanta Braves during the National League Championship Series and gave up a combined five hits and seven runs in 6.
