Dodgers Class-A affiliate Rancho Cucamonga hit four home runs in their chance to close out the California League South Division Finals, but it wasn't enough, as the High Desert Mavericks (Rangers) pulled out a 13-6 home win in Game 4 on Tuesday night to force a decisive Game 5.
Down 4-0, the Quakes got home runs from Tim Locastro and Alex Verdugo in the fourth inning to pull within 4-3, but then High Desert answered with four more runs in the bottom of the inning.
Paul Hoenecke and Joey Curletta homered in the fifth, and Rancho Cucamonga added another run in the sixth to pull within 8-6, but the Mavericks pulled away with three runs in the seventh and two more in the eighth.
