Miami police spokesman Major Delrish Moss told The Associated Press on Friday that Puig allegedly shoved his sister during a heated exchange at the Blue Martini lounge on Wednesday night and was escorted outside by nightclub employees. Moss said "at some point" Puig and a bouncer fought, leaving Puig with "minor bumps and bruises" and the bouncer with "a busted lip."
According to Moss, the bouncer claimed the fight started when Puig "sucker-punched" him. No arrests were made and no charges were filed.
Puig, 25, has been arrested twice for driving violations since joining the Dodgers in 2013.
