David Freese was not in the starting lineup on Sunday. He was on the bench as the Dodgers sent out six left-handed hitting position players at the top of their lineup.
After the game, Freese told the media that the Dodgers do a good job in letting him know when he is going to play and even when it comes time for a pinch-hitting experience.
But when Matt Beaty had to leave after the fourth inning with left hip tightness, Freese had to get ready in a hurry to take the field and play first base.
