LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers have scheduled a news conference for 1 p.m. PT on Thursday, when they are expected to announce the signing of free-agent Japanese pitcher Kenta Maeda.
The deal will reportedly tie up the right-hander for eight years with a pay-for-performance agreement worth a minimum of $24 million. Reportedly, the club is concerned about the long-term durability of Maeda's right elbow.
