Pedro Guerrero, whose big bat powered many of the Dodgers’ best teams in the 1980s, remains hospitalized and in a coma Tuesday in New York.
A source close to Guerrero’s family confirmed that the three-time All-Star suffered a stroke Monday and is on a ventilator, but able to move his arms and legs.
According to USA Today, Guerrero needed an emergency brain procedure to address an intraventricular hemorrhage. He is in critical condition at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
A spokesperson for the Dodgers had no information about Guerrero’s condition Monday night.
