After taking two of three from the San Francisco Giants to begin their homestand, the Los Angeles Dodgers now face the San Diego Padres in the opener of a four-game set.
The Dodgers earned a series win at Petco Park last week, outscoring the Padres, 16-11, in the three-game matchup. Dustin May picked up his first win of the season in the middle game of the series, allowing just two runs on three hits over six innings pitched.
The right-hander struck out a career-high eight batters during the outing and walked just one in comparison. He induced seven swings-and-misses -— his second most of the season —- and commanded the strike zone all night long.
