Pablo Fernandez made his first start in the Midwest League. The 25-year old Cuban right-handed pitcher had made two appearances for the Arizona League Dodgers but this was his first game for a full-season club. Fernandez started and pitched four innings, allowing no runs and striking out four.

The Sky Sox (Brewers) came back twice, finally scoring two runs in the ninth to beat the Dodgers 6-5. Randy Fontanez did not retire a batter in the ninth inning, walking the first three batters and then giving up the walk-off single.
