Several strong pitching performances on the farm Wednesday, highlighted by a hard throwing 2017 draft pick.
Player of the day
Riley Ottesen, the Dodgers’ fifth round pick this year, turned in his best pro start to date. Though he didn’t pitch deep enough to earn the win, Ottesen struck out eight in four shutout innings for Great Lakes last night. The live armed right hander did not post big strikeout numbers while at Utah, but thus far as a pro he is carrying a 28.1% strikeout rate in 24 u2154 innings.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Oklahoma City Dodgers were off on Wednesday.
