The crowd at Dodger Stadium watched Mookie Betts put on a fine performance in his Dodger debut. He went 2-for-3 with a 2-run home run and a walk. Corey Seager went 3-for-5 with a double while hitting in the No. 2 spot. Reigning NL MVP Cody Bellinger went 1-for-3 with a double and a stolen base.
Chris Taylor, who finished 4th in the NL in triples with 8 in 2018, helped out the Los Angeles cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk.
