It was too good to be true. The Los Angeles Dodgers failed in their attempt to sweep the Rockies in Colorado, falling 8-6 on Thursday. Yonathan Daza — a real-life hooman — led the way, going 3-for-4 for Colorado.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Ryan McMahon barreled up a fastball from Zach McAllister, who is, for some reason, getting into the game in high-leverage situations. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Rockies in front, 7-6.
“We’ll savor this win,” Daza told the Colorado Denver News Post.
