Getting offensive support from Franchy Cordero, the San Diego Padres topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-5, at Petco Park on Friday. Cordero was 4-4 with 4 singles and a stolen base for the Padres.
The Dodgers got off to a good start, as Will Smith hit a 2-run homer in the top of the second off Garrett Richards. After an RBI single by Cordero in the bottom half, Walker Buehler led off the third with his first home run of the season.
