As I have said before in 2011, the Dodgers will never win a championship under Don Mattingly. Five years later the sentiment is still the same. The Dodgers lost game 5 of the NLDS and the series to the Mets 3-2 in one of the most painful games I have seen in some time. I won’t recap any of this, because why bother? I don’t want to relive this game. I said in April that the club would win the division and then just lose in the playoffs. This wasn’t surprising to me at all.
NLDS Game 5- Mets win Series 3-2
Mets 3 7 1
Dodgers 2 6 1
WP-deGrom-2-0
LP-Greinke-1-1
SV-Familia-2
HR-Murphy-3
The game started out well as the Dodgers scored two runs in the first inning, but were held scoreless the rest of the game.
