If you were to look up the word garbage in the dictionary you would probably see a picture of this game. Or you would see an image of Brett Anderson pitching. Largely because Brett Anderson’s pitching is garbage. Unsurprisingly the dredges of the Dodger’s pitching staff, i.e. Anderson and Alex Wood allowed a combined ten runs on 11 hits leading to a playoff record for failure. As a matter of fact the Mets set a postseason record for most runs score in a game. Even though the Dodgers scored seven runs on 13 hits, it didn’t matter as the Mets destroyed the Dodgers by a 13-7 score in game three of the NLDS.
