Monday lineups: Dodgers' bullpen could be short-handed vs. Cubs

CHICAGO -- The Dodgers got one piece of their bullpen back Monday -- but could be short-handed against the Chicago Cubs nonetheless.

Right-hander Joel Peralta was activated from the disabled list after missing nearly two months with a pinched nerve in his neck. Peralta was headed towards season-ending disc surgery at one point during his recovery before his condition began improving.

The Dodgers optioned two pitchers to make room for Peralta and another callup from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Right-hander Matt West and left-hander Daniel Coulombe were both optioned following Sunday's game.

But left-hander Ian Thomas has experienced travel problems trying to get to Chicago and has not officially been added to the roster.
