GLENDALE, Ariz. — Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will not face a suspension for an alleged altercation at a Miami bar that allegedly took place last November, MLB announced Wednesday.
The investigation occurred under a newly adopted domestic violence policy. The league cited insufficient evidence to support the assault allegation as a reason for opting not to issue a suspension.
"The office of commissioner's investigation did not uncover any witness who supported the assault allegation; both Puig and his sister denied that an assault occurred; and the available video evidence did not support the allegation," read a statement released by the commisioner's office.
