Three days have passed since the Los Angeles Dodgers reportedly reached an agreement in principle to acquire Mookie Betts and David Price as part of a three-team trade with the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins.
The deal reached an impasse when the Red Sox were reviewing the medicals of Twins pitching prospect Brusdal Graterol, whom they were to receive along with Alex Verdugo from the Dodgers. As a result, Boston has sought out additional compensation in the trade.
There’s been an overall sense of confidence the trade will eventually be completed, but how the teams may get there is unclear.
